Helena High's Madi Todorovich and Jaxan Lieberg were honored on Thursday as the 2025 Pat Donovan award winners.

Both athletes earned all-state honors in multiple sports this season for the Bengals. Lieberg, a Carroll College signee for basketball, was all-state in football, basketball and track, winning a Class AA state title in the high jump.

Todorovich, a Baylor signee, tied a Class AA record with four individual state championships at the 2025 state track meet. She also tied a HHS school record with eight as an individual and set a new record with 10 total (including relays).

The HHS senior also has the highest-point total in girls Class AA track and field history after winning the girls high jump, long jump, triple jump, and 400-meter dash, as well as taking second in the 300-meter hurdles, and helping the Bengals place in both relay events in Kalispell last month.

Todorovich also earned all-state honors in basketball as she helped the Helena girls basketball team earn its first state tournament berth since 2019.

Lieberg, a three-time all-state selection on the basketball court, was named the Independent Record's All-Area Player of the Year for the third year in a row after he helped the Bengals take third place in their first state tournament berth in boys basketball since 2019.

Lieberg and Todorovich were each part of second-place finishes for the Helena girls and boys track teams in 2025. Todorovch also played a key role in all three team championships for Helena High from 2022 to 2024.

In the process, Todorovich set an all-time MHSA record by securing 27 medals, which is one shy of 28, the maximum total an athlete can earn in Montana.
