Madha Gaja Raja box office collection day 7: Vishal and Sundar C’s Madha Gaja Raja, which hit the screens on January 12, has exceeded expectations at the box office and emerged as a sensational hit. The film continued its run on January 18 and remained the top pick of the audience despite competition from Vanangaan and Kadhalikka Neramillai.

Madha Gaja Raja fares well on Saturday

Madha Gaja Raja, Vishal’s delayed film, has emerged as the surprise winner of the Pongal season and received rave reviews. According to Ramesh Bala, a trade analyst, the action comedy performed along expected lines and earned Rs 6 crore in Tamil Nadu on its seventh day.

“The film earned Rs 6 crore on January 18,” he told Indiatimes.

Here is the day-wise breakdown for Madha Gaja Raja:

Day 1: Rs 5 crore

Day 2: Rs 5 crore

Day 3: Rs 6 crore

Day 4: Rs 5 crore

Day 5: Rs 6 crore

Day 6: Rs 5 crore

Day 7: Rs 6 crore

The film’s total collection stands at Rs 38 crore

Madha Gaja Raja received favourable reviews with critics lauding performances and the comic elements. This helped it dominate the Vanangaan and the Ravi Mohan-led Kadhalikka Neramillai. It also benefitted from the lacklustre response to Ram Charan’s Game Changer.
