The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, and the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Cornelius Ojelabi, have rallied support for the party’s candidates in the forthcoming July 12, 2025 council election to ensure development at the grassroots.

They spoke during the APC Lagos West 11 Mega Campaign Rally, tagged: One Voice, One Vision, One Victory,” held in Badagry.

Hamzat specifically stressed the importance of unity within the party, noting that given the strides of the APC both at the federal and state levels, there is a need to consolidate the achievements by ensuring that the candidates of the party were elected.

On his part, Ojelabi commended the leadership of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, noting their achievements in developing the state.

Ojelabi specifically mentioned the ongoing Lagos-Badagry Express Road and the General Hospital in Iyana-Oba as evidence of the government’s commitment to improving the lives of Lagos residents.

He, therefore, urged the people of Badagry to show appreciation by voting for APC candidates in the elections.

The APC chairman urged party members and supporters to go out and mobilise their communities to vote for APC candidates.

He, however, expressed confidence in the party’s chances of winning the elections.

He urged the people of Badagry to complement the efforts of the government and the party’s candidates, ensuring their victory in the elections.

MEANWHILE, the Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, Dr Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, has launched an Independent Campaign Group (ICG) in support of the APC candidates for the forthcoming council elections.

The ICG, consisting of dedicated grassroots mobilisers, loyal party members, youth volunteers, and community leaders, are to galvanise massive support for the candidates in the wards, local councils, and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).

At the official inauguration of the ICG, Jandor reiterated his commitment to the success of the APC, emphasising that the initiative is about ensuring quality representation at the grassroots, consolidating good governance, and empowering people to choose credible leaders.
