suggest Leonardo DiCaprio is adding an Evel Knievel biopic to his busy schedule. The Wolf of Wall Street A-lister is said to be starring in Damien Chazelle’s next film about the performer’s 1974 Snake River stunt. Knievel’s failed jump gained recognition because of his previous exciting success. An article with the headline, “Jump Fails, but Knievel Uninjured” stated: “A large crowd along the canyon’s south rim gasped as a 15-mile-per-hour wind blew the sky-cycle back toward them, rocking gently in the air nose-down like a red, white and blue Christmas ornament.”

On February 20, Deadline reported that DiCaprio is currently enlisted in an untitled project with long-time collaborator, Martin Scorsese. The proposed Hawaiian organized crime drama has Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson attached. DiCaprio had also been rumored to star in Scorsese’s Frank Sinatra biopic, however it has been postponed.

The Knievel film would mark DiCaprio’s first collaboration with Chazelle. The Academy Award-winning director was the youngest best director winner in Oscars history. He has received writing nominations for La La Land starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, as well as Whiplash. Chazelle directed DiCaprio’s Wolf of Wall Street co-star Margot Robbie in Babylon.

Chazelle and DiCaprio would certainly be an explosive pairing. It will be interesting to see what happens next.
