LCCI's ICTEL Expo: Minister Of Comm., Maida, To Discuss Digital Innovation
The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) is set to host the 11th edition of the ICTEL expo. According to the LCCI, this year’s edition, themed “Leveraging Technology for Innovation and Development in Africa,” which will be held from July 29 to 30, 2025, in Lagos, prominent guests such as the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, and Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Executive Vice Chairman, Aminu Maida among others are expected to be guests speakers at the event.
Described as a hybrid showcase for the digital economy, ICTEL 2025 promises live product demos, expert panel discussions, startup pitch sessions, and curated networking opportunities aimed at delivering real-world impact.
“Against the backdrop of rapid technological shifts—AI, cybersecurity, fintech, green-tech—this year’s Expo delivers live demos, expert panels, startup pitches, and networking sessions to drive real-world impact and growth,” the LCCI said.
Building on the success of the demo-driven format, LCCI said the ICTEL 2025 aims to exhibit cutting-edge hardware and digital solutions, from telecoms to AI-powered tools, highlight emerging threats like, malware, phishing, ransomware) alongside proactive, transformative opportunities, and fuel entrepreneurship and sector-specific innovation.
Other objectives include showcasing generative AI applications across industries, and connecting key stakeholders—business owners, policymakers, technologists— towards collaborative growth.
Key benefits for attendees include product exposure and brand positioning, lead generation and investor access, media and publicity reach, and industry networking.
“Event highlights include 2,000+ attendees over 2 days, including 50+ VIPs and investors, 20 thematic sessions guided by thought-leaders, 100+ exhibitors across technology verticals, and Pitch competition for startups, judged by eminent panels,” the chamber said.
Besides, Tijani, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy and Aminu Maida, NCC EVC, LCCI said more influential voices will steer discussions on digital transformation, sustainability, and innovation, such as Shaibu Salisu, chairman of the senate committee on ICT & cybersecurity; and Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, director-general of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
Other speakers are Tola Odeyemi, postmaster general of the federation/chief executive officer (CEO); Abisoye Coker-Odusote, director-general of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC); Sacha Wunsch-Vincent, department for economics and data analytics of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO); and Mohamad Darwish, CEO of IHS Nigeria.
