According to a statement obtained by , Kisavi was arrested by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Tuesday, June 3, after being named as a suspect in a theft reported by Buscar Courier Services on February 8, 2025.

"The arrest followed a positive ID after CCTV footage of the scene was analysed, which recorded the suspect leaving with the parcel destined for a client in Mombasa," the DCI statement read in part.

The DCI added that Musyoka, who did not reveal his political identity, was spotted at a courier office on River Road in Nairobi.

He was detained by security personnel from Buscar and taken to Central Police Station. Once there, his identity was confirmed, and he was transferred to detectives from Mombasa for further investigation.

In a separate case, Marush Stephen Rais Kisemei, the MCA for Oloosirkon Ward in Kajiado County, was arraigned on Thursday, June 6.

He faced three charges, including misuse of a firearm, obstructing a police officer, and creating a disturbance.

The charges stem from a recommendation by the Kajiado ODDP, which approved his prosecution.

"The MCA is accused of having committed the offence when three police officers from Oloosirkon Police Station went to effect the arrest of suspects involved in an assault and malicious damage case in Ngurunga, Emakoko. One suspect, Soipen Samuel, was successfully arrested and placed in a police vehicle, but during an attempt to arrest a second suspect, the husband resisted while a third suspect, Jackline Joshua, remained inside a nearby house," DCI said.

The DCI reported that Marush, the area MCA, arrived with more than ten people armed with sticks and knives.

They assaulted the unarmed officer guarding the detained suspect, Soipen Samuel, and forcibly released him.

With a pistol in hand, the MCA led the group in an attack on the police vehicle, issuing threats.

Two armed officers, who were inside the house attempting additional arrests, intervened to assist their colleague and managed to fight the attackers.

The DCI Isinya took over the investigation and sent the case file to the ODPP, which approved it for prosecution.

In September 2024, Musyoka, also known as Sonko, narrowly escaped an attack by unknown assailants in Nairobi's central business district.

The MCA was violently confronted and badly beaten by a group of men, leaving him unconscious. Authorities believe the incident may have been a case of mistaken identity.

Kamukunji police responded to the scene, rescuing Musyoka from the attackers, who persisted in assaulting him even after he lost consciousness.

He was subsequently transported to Nairobi Hospital for medical attention.

Elsewhere, an MCA from Grassa county caused a scene in a restaurant after he was filmed chasing away people who had visited the facility for hospitality services.

Noor Sheikh Farah, MCA for Jarajila ward, brandished a knife and evicted customers at the Albeik Hotel shortly after the Garissa Cultural Festival.

The incident sparked public outrage as the disturbing video spread across social media

When the storm calmed down, Farah stepped forward and apologised for the incident, saying he did not intend to disrupt businesses at the hotel.

According to him, he was provoked by two individuals outside the hotel's parking lot, prompting him to react aggressively, causing a commotion that spilled over into the restaurant.
