Her mother, Elsie Njambi, told that June left home at around 7pm on June 5 after returning from St Anthony School Mugumo, where she studies.

“She came home after school and just left, never to return. It was a small issue — she wasn’t supposed to carry juice to school, but she did,” said the worried mother.

Njambi explained that June’s teacher told her they would report the matter to her parents, and she must have been scared and decided to leave.

She added that June didn’t inform them about the incident at school. She simply got home, changed clothes, and left shortly afterwards.

“The school had already called us and said she had juice in school. So when she got home, we told her that her teacher had called and warned against carrying juice — and then she left,” Njambi explained.

The young girl was last seen wearing a red Manchester United jersey and red shorts. She also has braces on her teeth.

Her devastated mother is urging anyone who has seen her daughter to report to the nearest police station or contact her directly on 0726 708 734 (Elsie Njambi), or reach her father on 0710 421 348 (Samuel Njoro).
