The senator recently travelled to the US for the 7th We Care for Humanity Royal Summit in Las Vegas.

Nyamu was joyous after she was bestowed with the honour.

“It is with humility and indeed immense gratitude that I accept this extraordinary honor the knighting of the Royal Maharlika as a Protector of the Earth, a Changemaker and a Peace Builder. I extend my thanks to We Care for Humanity Royal Summit for recogniaasing not just my personal journey."

Nyamu dedicated the award to all changemakers, urging young people to take up challenges that will change the course of their lives.

She recalled campaigning in 2022 while pregnant with her youngest child.

I dedicate this award to all who strive for change with courage, no matter what might hold them back. It is true that I campaigned for this position that I hold when very pregnant, not to prove a point but because duty demanded it. That journey taught me that leadership is not defined by ease or comfort but commitment. Whether you are a parent, student, or leader, know that you can serve."

She dedicated the award to her father, also saying that he was her foundation in life.

His unwavering support and strength were the wind beneath her wings.

The politician noted that the honour strengthened her resolve to keep pushing her limits.

"To my father Mr Nyamu, you have been my foundation. Your unwavering support has given me strength and the wind beneath my wings for that I remain deeply grateful. This honour that you have given me tonight strengthens my resolve to keep pushing my limits, to expand opportunities for the upcoming generations."

Nyamu also secured scholarships and startup capital for youth in Nairobi through partnerships with various global philanthropists.
