JOSHWAY Cuts Ribbon on New Brick-and-Mortar Location
The nonprofit’s space will serve as a hub where youth can explore creativity, learn essential life skills and connect with the community.
JOSHWAY, a nonprofit dedicated to equipping young people with the tools they need to thrive in today’s complex digital world, partnered with the Easton Business Association to celebrate the opening of its first brick-and-mortar community space at 913 Northampton Street with a ribbon-cutting event on Thursday, May 1.

“This space is more than just a building— it’s a response to a generational need,” said JOSHWAY’s Founder David Robertson. “JOSHWAY was born out of a bold idea: that young people can and should lead in the nonprofit space. We built this platform to collaborate, to fill gaps, and to dream without limitation. Today’s ribbon cutting is not a finish line it’s the beginning of something much bigger.”
JOSHWAY was founded by Robertson in 2023 in memory of his brother, Joshua Devon Robertson. The nonprofit actively builds programs designed to help youth navigate social and digital challenges while fostering creativity, leadership and personal growth.
The new space’s design intentionally fosters creativity and teamwork. Elements include 2,530 sq. ft. of floorspace, allowing for a flexible layout, three offices, and a conference room to facilitate meaningful discussions. Seating for up to 20 students encourages focus and interaction, and a 12-foot-high by 9-foot-wide LED wall transforms learning into an unforgettable, immersive experience.
The nonprofit’s mission is to empower youth by offering innovative, hands-on programs that turn digital stress into a tool for success. JOSHWAY focuses on holistic growth, addressing key issues such as mental health, social pressures, and leadership development, while fostering partnerships with other nonprofits and community organizations to maximize its reach and impact.
JOSHWAY has developed various programs working with organizations like Apple and Toastmasters International, designed to inspire young minds and equip them with the skills needed to excel in school, careers, and their communities. Programs include:
‒ – Covering topics such as financial literacy, digital safety, mindfulness, and career readiness.
‒ – Encouraging self-expression through art, music, and digital storytelling.
‒ – Preparing youth with skills like visionary thinking, collaboration, and resilience.
‒ – Hosting workshops to help families understand the challenges their children face and how to support them.
The organization was founded by young leaders answering a call during a time of great need with a vision to support youth through creativity, collaboration, and connection. Its mission centers on collaboration. By connecting subject matter experts, nonprofits, and schools, they deliver high-impact programs for youth. With the launch of their new community space, collaboration can now thrive in one inspiring hub. JOSHWAY is seeking corporate sponsors and philanthropic partners. Operational and endowment support will help sustain the space and expand access to transformative opportunities for youth.
“We created JOSHWAY because we saw a gap and we believed our generation had something powerful to offer,” said Robertson. “This space is a testament to what’s possible when young leaders come together with purpose, resilience, and heart. It’s for the community, it’s built by the community, and we’re just getting started.”
