Join Dazed, Lenovo Yoga and Intel for Dazed Archive Live in NYC | Dazed
Ever wanted to access Dazed’s back-catalogue? Well, now you can. Launching on Thursday, February 13, the new Dazed Archive will offer a compelling curation of stories from the magazine’s 34-year history.
Powered by AI, presented by Lenovo Yoga and imagined with Intel, the archive will include interviews with legends such as Björk, David Bowie, Missy Elliott, Chloë Sevigny and Vivienne Westwood, to people currently shaping the face of youth culture, like Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Frost Children, Lil Nas X and Tyler Mitchell. There will be guides, too, and more instructive forms of storytelling – like our exhaustive ‘dA-Zed’ guide to the life and work of Alexander McQueen – all of which is aimed to fuel creativity of our readers.
To celebrate the launch of the archive, we’re hosting a one-day festival with our friends at Lenovo and Intel, which will take place at 99 Scott Ave in Brooklyn, New York on Saturday, Feburary 15. Here at Dazed Archive Live, industry experts will join members of the Dazed community and some of the sharpest minds in fashion, the arts and beyond, for talks, tutorials and workshops themed around AI and technology in the creative industries.
Talks will include “New Codes of Creativity” with photographer Charlie Engman, @patiasfantasyworld’s Patia Borja and Paul Hill, moderated by our US senior writer Laura Pitcher; and “Redefining Beauty and Aesthetic Culture” with make-up artist Raisa Flowers, 3D artist Carol Civre and writer Sable Yong, moderated by designer and technologist Mindy Seu.
Meanwhile tutorials and workshops will include “Cataloging Your Online Obsessions” with artist Maya Man to “Merge Real Art into AI” with Collina Strada’s Hillary Taymour, as well as ‘always on’ moments, including music takeovers, screen-printing stations and a cafe where you can simply hang out and drink coffee.
Open to Dazed readers and Dazed Club members alike, the event will be a chance opportunity to experience the Dazed Archive first-hand; you’ll be able to preview the tool on Lenovo Aura Edition PCs, powered by Intel Core Ultra processors, and see how it can be used within your creative practice.
There will also be a live pitching session that will give you the chance to propose a creative venture or business idea, which employs technology, to a panel of industry experts and get their feedback. You’ll even have a chance to win a Lenovo Yoga laptop, along with a year-long Dazed Club Membership and follow-up mentoring session with the team behind Dazed.
“This groundbreaking collaboration with Lenovo and Intel furthers Dazed’s commitment to using AI in a way that is centred on empowering the next generation,” says Jefferson Hack, Dazed Media’s co-founder and CEO. “I’m looking forward to the Dazed Archive Live day of talks and workshops in Brooklyn to launch this new creative tool.”
