Jnr Pope, the talented Hollywood actor who tragically died on April 10, 2024, has lost his father.

The father of three died in a boat accident while en route to a movie location.

Pope's death shocked many, and his fans across the world sympathised with his widow and their three kids.

The actor was buried in an emotional ceremony on May 17, 2024, in his hometown of Ukehe in the Igbo Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria.

Jnr Pope's widow, Jennifer Awele, confirmed the death of her father-in-law, Ozor Luke Odonwodo.

The young widow shared the last video Jnr Pope took with his father before his death, accompanied by a touching message.

The mother of three revealed she had spent time with the deceased in Enugu just a month before his death.

Jennifer described her father-in-law as a man who genuinely loved her and lived a good life.

"He passed as an octogenarian who lived a good life, paid his dues, sacrificed a lot for his family and loved ones, and happily reaped the fruits of his labour. Reme (mother-in-law), this is actually a lot within one year, but I pray God gives you and us all the strength we need to keep pushing no matter how hard it seems," she captioned the video below.

Nollywood actress Rita Edochie penned a heartfelt tribute to Jnr Pope after his dad's death.

The veteran actress opined that Jnr Pope was supposed to bury his father; unfortunately, the opposite occurred.

"Losing a child is entirely heartbreaking, especially when a parent is advanced in age. Jnr Pope should have been the one burying this great father of his, and not the other way round. It is well.
