Jennifer Garner is officially ready for summer — and just switched up her signature brunette hair to match her mood.

Celebrity hair colorist Tracey Cunningham, who's known for her viral looks (including Leslie Bibb's blonde bob on The White Lotus and Michelle Monaghan's new do), shared each step she made to transition Garner's brown hair to a blonde shade.

The Schwarzkopf Professional U.S. Creative Director of Color & Techniqueused the brand's BLONDME Lightener with 30 volume to create ribbons of blonde in Garner's strands. Cunningham then went in with the Schwarzkopf Igora Vibrance gloss in stages.

The result is what Cunningham called a "ready for summer blonde." The new shade contained ample highlights throughout Garner's hair, which framed her face and her bangs, and grew slightly brighter towards the ends of her hair.

"Jennifer’s just wrapped The Last Thing He Told Me (yes, Paris 💫), and is already diving into The Five-Star Weekend — a dreamy Nantucket story coming soon to Peacock."

Fans in the comments section has nothing but positive things to say about Garner's hair transformation. Fellow celebrity colorist Rita Hazan — who has worked with Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Brooke Shields, Sydney Sweeney and more — commented, "love her lighter!"

Another fan added, "stunning as always!" while Schwarzkopf itself chimed in to say "love her color."

Garner first debuted her updated hair to her personal Instagram account on May 30 in a carousel post that she captioned "May catch up."

In addition to the photo of her blonde hair, which Cunningham also used in her post, Garner posted funny memes, pictures of rainbows, and landscape photos.

While the date of Garner's hair change is unclear, the actress sported blonde highlights in her hair on May 29 at WSJ's Future of Everything 2025 panel.

On April 24, the 13 Going on 30 actress was spotted in New York City with her deep brunette hair while running errands and catching up with friends.

Garner's bangs stayed consisted throughout all of the photos, though she styled them in different ways — covering her forehead, wearing them parted to the side, or off of her face altogether.

The actress has been steadily growing out her hair since she cut it into a lob in 2022. In 2023 she told PEOPLE, "Short hair is fun the day it’s cut. Then you have to actually do it.”

At the time she made the hair change, her stylist Adir Abergel called the chop "The Jen G cut for Gen Z. This cut works for anyone at any age."
