Chelsea have continued their busy transfer window by completing the €64m signing of Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens. The 20-year-old Englishman joins the Blues, after spending five seasons at Dortmund. In that time, he scored 17 goals and provided 14 assists in 107 appearances for the Bundesliga club, having signed for the German side from Manchester City's youth ranks in 2020
"It feels great," Gittens said in a club statement. ‘It’s a great feeling to join such a big club as Chelsea. "I can’t wait to learn from everyone in the team and to push myself to the max here. It’s an amazing feeling." Gittens has represented England at all youth levels, but is still yet to receive a call up to the senior team. This means that he has now become the most expensive uncapped Englishman in the history of the game. But which other players feature on that list?
As aforementioned, Gittens now leads the way having completed his €64m move to Chelsea. Behind him in second place is Aaron Wan-Bissaka, after he signed for Manchester United from Crystal Palace for €55m in 2019. He has since committed his international allegiance to the Democratic Republic of Congo, but was trying to play for England at the time of that transfer. In third position is defender Max Kilman, who went from Wolves to West Ham for €47.5m last summer. Cole Palmer claims fourth place after signing for Chelsea from Man City for €47m in 2023 - he now has a market value of €120m and is a key player for the Three Lions. In fifth is Anthony Gordon, who moved from Everton to Newcastle for €45.6m in 2023 before becoming and England international.
Archie Gray is in sixth, after having moved from Leeds to Tottenham for €41.3m last summer. Seventh goes to Elliot Anderson - who shone for England U21s in their Euro 2025 triumph - who moved from Newcastle to Nottingham Forest last summer for €41.2m. In eighth is full-back Tino Livramento after his €37.2m move from Southampton to Newcastle. Ninth goes to Liam Delap after his €35.5m transfer from Ipswich to Chelsea this summer, while Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall completed the top 10 having went to Stamford Bridge from Leicester for €35.4m this time last year. Jarell Quansah's recent €35m move from Liverpool to Bayer Leverkusen puts him 11th on the list.
