Jadon Sancho could remain in the Premier League as shock club enters the race
Manchester United have been trying to offload Jadon Sancho for over two seasons now with little luck.
He was first loaned out in the 23/24 season after a major fall-out with Erik ten Hag and despite a successful return to Borussia Dortmund, the German club stayed away from acquiring his signature on a permanent basis.
Chelsea had the chance to do so the season gone by, but they opted to pay a penalty to escape the obligation to buy clause. Enzo Maresca was reportedly not too happy with the winger while his wage demands were also considered significant.
As per recent developments, Juventus were seen as frontrunners, with a deal practically agreed between United and the Serie A giants with even a medical scheduled.
But that trail seems to have gone cold again, with Inter Milan‘s name now doing the rounds. And The Sun have added a brand new, rather surprising name into the mix.
Nottingham Forest want the Englishman to replace former Red Devil Anthony Elanga, who left to join Newcastle United.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis wants to bring the 25-year-old to Forest, and they feel they can help the United forward regain his mojo, much like Elanga did after his move from Old Trafford.
“NOTTINGHAM FOREST are plotting a sensational swoop for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho.
“But SunSport understands mega-rich Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is now prepared to bankroll a fresh deal to bring the 25-year-old to the City Ground.
“Forest see the wide man as a dream replacement for Anthony Elanga, 23, who has joined Newcastle United in a move that left Forest fans gutted. Elanga, like Sancho, was cast aside by United but shone in the Premier League last season.
“Forest believe Sancho could follow a similar redemption arc and rediscover his best form. His arrival would be a huge boost to supporters, especially with midfield maestro Morgan Gibbs-White, 25, subject of serious interest from Tottenham.”
There is no mention of a fee and what sort of wages they will offer the England international, but The Peoples Person had relayed in the recent past that Jadon Sancho would love to remain in the Premier League.
And Forest are ready to offer him just that after the club tried to sign him on loan last summer as well. Hopefully, a permanent exit transpires this time around and this saga can be brought to a close once and for all.
