AX Armani Exchange Milano (Serie A) agreed terms with 28-year old Slovenian international small forward Vlatko Cancar (203cm-107kg-1997) for the new 2025-26 season. He has played for the last six years at Denver Nuggets in the NBA. But in 16 games, he had just 1.5ppg and 2.1rpg last season. He helped them to make it to the conference semifinals.
In 2017, he was drafted by the Denver Nuggets (NBA) in the second round (49th overall).
Cancar has also been a member of the Slovenian international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Slovenian senior team since 2016 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2017.
Cancar is a quite experienced player. He has played also in Serbia (BC Mega MIS Beograd), Slovenia (Petrol Olimpija Ljubljana and LTH Castings), Spain (Longevida San Pablo Burgos), Croatia (Zapad) and NBA G League (Grand Rapids Gold and Erie BH).
He won an NBA championship title in 2023. Cancar was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Olympic Games Honorable Mention in 2021.
