I have a regular camera and I see dots like that which I know are on the lens inside the camera where I would have to take apart the entire camera to clean it.

Do you see any dust on the exterior side of the lens? If you do, you could try blowing on it gently. If not, it could be inside the lens in which case you should take it to a Genius Bar for evaluation. I don't see any instructions from Apple for cleaning lenses, only the screens. A 16 Pro Max could be a new camera and I would feel more comfortable in not doing anything myself that could possibly void any warranty.

How to make a Genius Bar appointment

1. Go to Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple

2. Go to "Get hardware help".

3. Select your hardware and continue selecting options requiring replacing parts until you see "Bring in for Repair"
