Reported by Ari Temkin, Iowa State will play a home-and-home with Kansas, Oklahoma State, and Kansas. Maybe a little surprise that rival Kansas State didn’t make the cut, but the three teams are a solid draw for the Cyclones.

The full 18-game conference schedules have not been released yet, as the conference leaves the 20-game conference schedules to return to 18 games.

Iowa State only played Kansas twice last year, while playing only Baylor at home, and Oklahoma State just on the road. Now for the 2025-26 season, the Cyclones will play each team twice.

Kansas’ roster took a major turn this offseason, as it seemed Bill Self had enough of paying one or two players in the millions. Instead, the Jawhawks snagged Jadyen Dawson, Tre White, and Melvin Council Jr. from the portal. Those three transfers should crack the starting lineup, with the other two spots belonging to Flory Bidunga and 5-Star Freshman Darryn Peterson.

Jadyen Dawson: Guard | 6’4 (Loyola-Chicago): 13.9 ppg, 3.1 reb, 1.9 ast, 41% FG, 36.3% 3PT

Tre White: Guard | 6’7 (Illinois): 10.5 ppg, 5.5 reb, 0.8 ast, 50.7% FG, 32.9% 3PT

Melvin Council: Guard | 6’4 (St. Bonaventure): 14.6 ppg, 5.4 reb, 4.1 ast, 43.5% FG, 29.9% 3PT

Baylor does not have a single player returning from last year’s roster. Not a single player. So Scott Drew immediately went to the portal, along with recruiting four freshmen to the squad. Two freshmen joining the Bears include 5-Star Forward Tounde Yessoufou and 3-Star Forward Andre Iguodala II, the son of NBA Champion Andre Iguodala. Transfers to keep your eye on include Obi Agbim, Dan Skillings Jr., Michael Rataj, and JJ White.

Obi Agbim: Guard | 6’3 (Wyoming): 17.6 ppg, 3.2 reb, 3.4 ast, 46.9% FG, 43.7% 3PT

Dan Skillings Jr: Guard | 6’6 (Cincinnati): 9.3 ppg, 3.8 reb, 1.4 ast, 42.9% FG, 29.9% 3PT

Michael Rataj: Forward | 6’7 (Oregon State): 16.9 ppg, 7.2 reb, 48.4% FG, 35.1% 3PT

JJ White: Guard | 6’2 (Omaha): 13.7 ppg, 3.2 reb, 3.8 ast, 44.1% FG, 21.9% 3PT

This is year two under Steve Lutz at Oklahoma State. Their starting lineup has a good chance of starting four transfers they brought in, along with Robert Jennings Jr, who is returning for the Cowboys. That mentioned starting lineup is Jaylen Curry, Isaiah Coleman, Anthony Roy, Robert Jennings Jr, and Parsa Fallah.

Jaylen Curry: Guard | 6’0 (UMass): 13.3 ppg, 3.8 reb, 3.9 ast, 36.3% FG, 34.6% 3PT

Anthony Roy: Guard | 6’5 (Green Bay): 25.7 ppg, 5.3 reb, .5 ast, 50.6% FG, 43.2% 3PT

Isaiah Coleman: Guard | 6’5 (Seton Hall): 5.6 ppg, 5.3 reb, 1.7 ast, 38.9% FG, 29.5% 3PT

Parsa Fallah: Forward | 6’9 (Oregon State): 12.8 ppg, 4 reb, 1 ast, 59.8% FG
