Kochi: IMD said Kerala will continue to experience maximum temperatures in isolated places on Thursday. It said the temperature is likely to be 2-3°c above normal on Thursday.
Maximum temperatures are likely to be around 38°c in Kannur and Kasaragod districts, around 37°c in Kottayam and Kollam and 36°c in Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha. All these districts are on yellow alert for maximum temperature.
A yellow alert for heavy rainfall was issued for one or two isolated places in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Pathanamthitta for Friday.
It said thunderstorms with lightning are likely to occur at one or two places in the state and Lakshadweep, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
On Wednesday, dry weather prevailed over the state. The maximum temperature was above normal in Kannur, Malappuram, Kottayam, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram districts.
