IIT Delhi UG students bag 850 unique offers so far in ongoing placement season

Startups and tech-driven firms like Meesho, Graviton Research Capital, and Bluestone Jewellery & Lifestyle also contributed significantly to the placement pool.

Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) including Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum, Bharat Petroleum, Petronet LNG, and the Centre for Development of Telematics hired UG students as well—underscoring the continued interest of government-linked organisations in campus recruitment at IITs.

Students received over 40 international offers from companies based in the US, UK, UAE, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and the Netherlands, the institute said. An institute-conducted exit survey among the 2024 batch revealed that 30% of students opted for alternative career paths, including entrepreneurship (7%), higher education (6%), and competitive exams like civil or engineering services (17%). A similar trend is expected among the class of 2025, said the release.
