I have reduced Osun infrastructure deficit by 40% - Adeleke

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State said, on Thursday, that his administration’s developmental initiatives had reduced the state’s infrastructure deficit by over 40%.
Adeleke made the assertion in Osogbo while receiving an official invitation to the Leadership Newspaper’s award event, where he is to be honoured as “The Governor of the Year.”
Speaking on his administration’s achievements, Adeleke emphasised his commitment to sustaining the current momentum, despite the accolades.
“I am not allowing the praises to enter my head. While it may be true that I have delivered a four-year task in under two years, I am propelled to do more because Osun has been left behind on many fronts,” Adeleke said.
He added, “As I have reduced the infrastructure deficit by over 40%, my real target is higher. As I have bridged access to primary healthcare, my ambition is to also expand health access at medium and tertiary levels. Our ultimate goal is to accelerate infrastructure upgrades alongside boosting investments that improve the well-being of our people.”
The governor also described the Leadership Newspaper award as a recognition of his administration’s impactful governance and outlined ongoing and upcoming projects across the state.
“Very soon, I will flag off the remodelling of Osogbo Stadium to meet international standards. Prior to this, we have established the Osun Sports Commission and Osun Sports Fund through proper legal and policy frameworks.
“Similarly, I will flag off the dualisation of phase one of the Odoori-Post Office road in Iwo. The contractor for the Iwo-Osogbo road has mobilized to the site, and both projects are slated for completion during this administration.
“Meanwhile, the dualisation project in Ilesa is progressing steadily, and significant advancements have been made on the flyover bridge at Ile Ife. 2025 is set to be a year of expanded good governance for the betterment of humanity,” Adeleke stated.
The governor reaffirmed his dedication to advancing Osun State’s development and improving the lives of its residents.
