Greenville sees rare steady snowfall

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — For the first time in three years, there is steady snow falling in Greenville.

Snow began piling on cars Tuesday evening, more so than on the roads as salt was laid down by workers earlier in the week.

One Trader Joe’s employee said the store has had a large number of people stocking their kitchens in preparation. “Hundreds, thousands like,” Jade Kizer said. “Everybody’s buying the milk, the eggs, the cheese, the meat. Everything is getting gone. So, a lot of people.”

Kizer also said if the area got enough snow, she’d definitely be out and about playing in it. WNCT 9 On Your Side will continue to keep you updated on the winter weather.
