Governor Yusuf appoints 11 special advisers
The governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, has approved the appointment of eleven new Special Advisers.
This is contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin Tofa.
Mr Dawakin Tofa said he appointees, who come from diverse professional backgrounds, are expected to deploy their expertise in support of the administration’s policies and programmes.
The newly appointed Special Advisers are as follows:
1. Prof. Abba Garba Gaya – Special Adviser on Agriculture (Crop Production/Extension Service)
2. Dr. Tukur Dayyabu Minjibir – Special Adviser on General Agricultural Inputs. Dr. Dayyabu was earlier announced as SA on Agricultural Mechanization.
3. Yusuf Ibrahim Sharada – Special Adviser on Digital Economy. Sharada is promoted from SSA on ICT.
4. Aminu Salihu Kunchi – Special Adviser on Private and Voluntary Schools
5. CP Kabiru Gwarzo (Rtd.) – Special Adviser on Special Assignments I. Until his promotion, Gwarzo served as DG Corporate Security.
6. Kabiru Getso Haruna – Special Adviser on Employment. Hon. Getso is the immediate past Executive Secretary, Kano State Scholarship Board.
7. Hajiya Bilkisu Yakubu Indabo – Special Adviser on Enlightenment and Social Mobilisation
8. Tijjani Hussaini Gandu – Special Adviser on Culture and Entertainments. Gandu is promoted from SSA Mawallafa.
9. Engr. Ibrahim Ibrahim Sisi – Special Adviser to the Governor on Infrastructure
10. SP Bala Shehu Muhammad (Albasu) (Rtd) – Special Adviser on Special Services (Government House). Albasu previously served as Chief Personal Security Officer (CPSO) to the Governor.
11. Sale Musa Sa’ad – Special Adviser on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
The appointments, according to the statement, reaffirm the government’s determination to deliver tangible results and ensure effective governance in Kano State.
