The chairman of Gombe Local Government Area, Barrister Sani Ahmad Haruna, has condemned the killing of an industrialist, Ahmad Aliyu, popularly known as Amadi Kasiran, by suspected thugs.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday night in the Hammadu Kafi area of Akko Local Government, has left the Gombe community in shock.
Barrister Haruna pledged his support for Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s efforts to bring the culprits to justice, assuring the public that all necessary measures would be taken to curb the resurgence of gang violence in the state.
In his condolence message, the council chairman extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family, promising that his administration would prioritise security to prevent future occurrences of such heinous acts.
According to security reports, the 45-year-old Amadi Kasiran was attacked and stabbed by the assailants.
He was reportedly rushed to Gombe Specialist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
