Golden State Warriors: Ayesha Curry Shares First Post After Stephen Curry's Historic Night

Published 2 days ago2 minute read

Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry was in top form on Tuesday night against the Memphis Grizzlies on the road.

Behind Curry’s 52-point eruption, the Dubs took down the Grizzlies to the tune of a 134-125 score. Curry’s night was made even more memorable by a few milestones and record he hit and authored –  among which was passing  Los Angeles Lakers great and Basketball Hall of Famer Jerry West on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, as announced by the team via social media.

That was also reposted by Curry’s wife, Ayesha Curry via Instagram story.

Curry entered the Grizzlies game with 25,153 career points in the NBA, good for 26th all-time and 39 short of the 25th spot which was then occupied by West, who scored 25,192 total points during his legendary career in the NBA.

Against the Grizzlies, Curry went 16-for-31 from the floor and hit 12 of his 20 attempts from behind the arc. He also had 10 rebounds and eight assists, nearly pulling off what would have been an incredible 50-point triple-double.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green also had solid performances in the win. Butler had 27 points, six boards, four dimes and three steals while Green had a triple-double of 13 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds.

Curry now has 25,205 career points in the NBA. He should be able to move up several notches on the all-time list as he continues his career in the league. Five players above Curry on the list are within just 1,000 points off him, including retired greats Kevin Garnett, Vince Carter and Reggie Miller
