Police in Giyani are searching for suspects linked to the murder of an unidentified man in Xikukwani Village on Tuesday, 13 May 2025.

The incident occurred at approximately 18:30 near the Xinaveni Gold Mine. Members of the Giyani Police were on duty when they received a complaint about the murder and immediately rushed to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of an unknown African male lying face-up with multiple injuries to his upper body. The victim was dressed in black jeans, a blue long-sleeved T-shirt, and a grey jacket.

Emergency Personnel Services certified the man dead at the scene, and his body was transported to the nearest mortuary. A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
