Lt Gen William Agyapong is the Chief of Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces
The Ghana Armed Forces has issued a strong warning to the general public to disregard any advertisement or information circulating about recruitment or enlistment exercises.
In an official press release dated June 4, 2025, the GAF categorically stated that no such recruitment or enlistment is currently ongoing.
The statement, issued by Captain (Ghana Navy) Veronica Adzo Arhin, Acting Director of Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces, stressed that any advertisements claiming otherwise are false and fraudulent.
“Any such advertisement/information of any form is fake and should be ignored. The public is urged to be wary of scammers and fraudsters,” the statement said.
The Ghana Armed Forces further emphasised that any future announcements regarding recruitment will be officially published only in the Daily Graphic and the Ghanaian Times—two of Ghana’s most reputable national newspapers.
