Phoenix Hagen (ProA) signed 30-year-old American guard Devin Schmidt (193cm-98kg-1994, college: Delta State) for the upcoming 2025-26 season. He played last season at Estudiantes in Spanish Primera FEB. In 36 games, he had 10.2ppg, 1.9rpg, 1.6apg, and 1.1spg. He helped them reach the semifinals. The previous (2023-24) season, he played for another Spanish team, UEMC Real Valladolid Baloncesto (Liga Endesa) in the Spanish league.
Schmidt has played professionally in Spain, including Caceres, L'Hospitalet, Alicante, and Zunder Palencia.
He won the Spanish LEB Silver championship title in 2019. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Silver Honorable Mention in 2019.
Schmidt graduated from Delta State in 2017 and it'll be his ninth season as a pro player.
