General Hospital's Newest Love Triangle - Anna, ADA Turner, and … Sonny?
They had a few scenes together during the 2025 Nurses Ball, and the two had an interesting exchange during the Friday, June 20 episode as Corinthos Coffee went up against the PCPD in the town’s adult softball league.
With that said, there was a conversation between Sonny and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) prior to all this.
They have been friends, on and off, during the years, so watching them joke around about the pending game, almost flirty, was intriguing, to say the least. Is the soap hinting at a potential love triangle?
ADA is ambitious and has her eye on the prize. She wants to scrap the “assistant” in her district attorney job title, and one of the ways to do this is to bring the mob boss down.
With that said, while ADA Turner is gunning for him, she also seems to be softening her stance. This goes for Sonny’s attitude toward the ADA, as well. At the end of the day, fans can see how this will end up from a mile away. AD Turner will go in guns blazing, trying to get Sonny sent to prison, but end up falling for him.
Still, there’s also the interesting dynamic between Anna and AD Turner. Turner seems to continually throw her friendships with Sonny and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in Anna’s face. There’s a lot of animosity between the two ladies, which makes for an interesting love triangle.
The natural next step would be to introduce some sparks between Anna and Sonny, which were hinted at during Friday’s show.
There was a time in 2024 when the soap seemingly explored the idea of Anna and Sonny, but almost halted it. The show was going through some writing team changes, and it felt like every other week, storylines and characters were changing direction.
The truth of the matter is, Anna and Sonny together would be interesting, as Anna is a PCPD Commissioner and Sonny is the
PCPD’s number one target. Considering that Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) and Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) are heading toward a romance, could the writers also decide to have their grandparents enjoy a love story, too?
The friction between Turner and Anna is a great element within this love triangle, as the women not only butt heads, but try to woo Sonny. But which would he choose, in the end?
