Friday to be cold and clear ahead of weekend showers

Published 2 months ago2 minute read

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Friday will finish off the work week with some pleasant conditions and sunny skies. We still start off cold with low 30s and mid to upper 20s locked in for the morning.

Winds are light and will remain as such through this afternoon as sunny skies dominate and highs make a run for the low to mid-50s. Look for clouds to build late in the day ahead of overnight rain chances.

Saturday will start off wet as spotty showers linger for the early morning hours. We can see a few spotty showers through the afternoon as temperatures start in the upper 30s and peak in the low 50s.

Cloudy skies will linger as a low-pressure system tracks south of the Queen City on Sunday. This will keep rain chances in the forecast for Sunday as the 50s finish off the weekend. We can see the potential for a bit of a wintry mix and snow for our higher elevations and western-facing slopes Saturday & Sunday as well.

Our wet and cool weekend all comes ahead of an arctic blast that infiltrates the entire country. We’ll see temperatures plummet as highs sit in the 30s and lows dip into the teens overnight. Mountains will only hit the teens and fall into the single digits overnight.

Next week brings some of the coldest temperatures we’ve seen so far this year, with below-normal conditions lasting through the end of next week.

Today: Sunny & Cool. High: 54.

Tonight: Increasing Clouds & Overnight Rain. Low: 37.
