Lionsgate has unveiled a new look at an upcoming movie. A trailer has been released for the new project, Freaky Tales.
As the name suggests, Freaky Tales follows multiple stories unfolding alongside each other. Each one takes place within Oakland, California in the late 1980’s, as the main characters try to survive their dangerous encounters.
The film is written, produced, and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. The duo has worked together several times before, with perhaps their most well-known project being Captain Marvel. Some of their other endeavors include Mississippi Grind, It’s Kind Of A Funny Story, and even some work on the 2024 series Masters Of The Air.
Pedro Pascal leads the cast of Freaky Tales as a highly skilled hitman trying to get out of the business on his own terms so he can start a peaceful life. Known for roles in Gladiator II, The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent, and the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, Pascal will be making his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe later this year as Mister Fantastic, when Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters this July.
The rest of the supporting cast for Freaky Tales is rounded out by Ben Mendelsohn, Jay Ellis, Angus Cloud, Normani, and Dominique Thorne.
