Florence Osteria & Piano Bar

It makes sense that Florence Osteria & Piano Bar comes from the owner behind L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele (a branch of the Naples pizzeria with a cameo in Eat, Pray, Love). While there's no pizza on the menu, this Beverly Grove dinner spot does feel like a movie set. Beneath the giant olive tree in the dining room, you’ll twirl solid handmade pasta while being serenaded by a bassist and piano player. The food is a bit cinematic, too. The $50 fettucine al tartufo is a splurge, but it does come with a server who showers your plate with fresh-shaved truffles until you say when. The grilled wagyu tagliata marbled with fat and nicely seared, and a gooey eggplant parmesan mounded with creamy stracciatella, are just as indulgent. Even in a neighborhood with lots of Italian competition, Florence Osteria stands out as a great option for a big, showy meal.
