is about to become even easier to watch, as select seasons will begin streaming 24/7 on a special Amazon channel, launched by Wildbrain and The Pokémon Company International. This follows on from several other projects designed to increase the availability of the Pokémon anime on streaming.

Ever since the shutdown of Pokémon TV in January 2024, the Pokémon anime has been considerably harder to watch than it once was, much to the chagrin of fans. However, the Pokémon Company has slowly been launching new ways for fans to catch the Pokémon anime, such as a channel on the PlutoTV app, as well as a YouTube channel. Now, the anime will be getting even easier to watch with the debut of the 24/7 Pokémon channel on Amazon, as announced in a press release from Wildbrain, the company who has been managing the anime's streaming rights.

According to Wildbrain's press release, the Amazon channel is a "curated 24/7 stream of the first 25 seasons of the iconic original animated series featuring Ash Ketchum and his partner Pokémon, Pikachu." That suggests that it won't be streaming every single episode, but should have a good selection from across the various eras of Ash's journey, all the way up to Ash's final seasons as the lead protagonist. The press release also mentions that they have obtained the rights to a "selection of Pokémon movies," meaning that some movies may be available for streaming for the first time.

Every Pokémon Movie In Order (And The Best Way To Watch Them)

There are many animated Pokémon movies which have been released over the franchise's 25 year run. Here's the proper order to watch them.

Having more ways to watch the Pokémon anime is certainly a good thing for fans, especially if it involves all 25 seasons of the anime. The movies are a particularly interesting element here; while it's not clear exactly which movies Wildbrain has acquired the rights to, there have been quite a few Pokémon movies that haven't been available for free streaming before, and many of them are a bit difficult to find online, even for purchase. Several of the Pokémon movies have never been released on BluRay and have been out of print on DVD for years, meaning this may be the best chance to watch them.

While Amazon's new Pokémon channel certainly represents a big step forward for having all 25 seasons accessible in one place, this still doesn't really offer on-demand viewing, which is what many fans are looking for. As Pokémon has continued to pop up in new places on streaming, many fans are wondering if there will ever be a point where the entire series is available to stream in just one place. As it stands, only a handful of seasons are available on demand, including the first season, the XY seasons, and Journeys. Perhaps some day soon, fans will finally have access to everything .
