Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh

Fatima Sana Shaikh

has teamed up with Vijay Varma for

Ul Jalool Ishq

. The

romantic drama

directed by Manish Malhotra has the two working together for the first time. Sharing her experience about working with Vijay, Fatima tells us, “Vijay is quite a chilled out guy as a person. We laughed a lot on the sets. As a professional he is easy to team up with. He likes to come on time, he is well versed with his lines and so it becomes very easy to work with him. He also has a lot of empathy for his co-stars.”
Fatima is full of praise for Vijay’s work, especially admiring his talent. She says, “A good actor is just that – a good actor. Eventually, they always find their way. You might take longer to get there, but if you’re a great performer, success will come. He’s a wonderful person, and I’m so happy to see him getting the recognition he deserves in the industry.”
Outside of her acting career, Fatima has a deep passion for painting, particularly abstract art. She previously shared in an interview, “My style is instinctive. When I was in college, I realised I had a flair for painting and wanted to take up Fine Arts, which was an expensive course back then. But for me, acting took precedence, especially since I had already acted as a child.”

She went on to explain, “I wanted to improve my skills and that only comes with practice. So, whenever I had the chance, I would pick up the brush and work on my skills. It gives me the opportunity to create something that is unreal and is a departure from reality. The idea of creating something beautiful, even if abstract, is inspiring and exciting for me. I listen better when I am doodling or drawing something, I find it very calming. This is a therapeutic escapade that helps me connect with myself and evolve.”
