Happy New Year

filmmaker shares how she enjoys hosting her friends at home. She said, "I cook a variety of dishes for my friends. I remember during Christmas last year, people told me how they were starving for such delicious food. I had cooked roast chicken, kebabs, mutton curry and pulao."
Ask Farah, if she enjoys cooking for her husband and filmmaker Shirish Kunder and she said, "No, I don't cook for my husband. He has grown up eating his mom's delicious Mangalorean food so I don't try to compete with that. But I do cook for my three kids. I love going on holidays with my kids and when they get tired of eating the international cuisines, my kids enjoy the homemade khichdi, aloo bhaji and puri and all the ghar ka khana. They are fond of pasta, pizza, sushi but after a few days, everyone years for the usual khana at home."
In an earlier interview with BT, Farah shared how she also had her share of bad cooking days. She said, “We were shooting for Farhan’s (Akhtar) Dil Chahta Hai in Australia and I was cooking yakhni pulao in those small pots on that induction cooker and my then boyfriend called. I got busy talking to him and the next thing I heard was fire alarms all over the building and everything smelt of burnt yakhni pulao in the building! It was so embarrassing.”
