Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen in Sweden to discuss latest tech developments | Shaping Europe's digital future
Henna Virkkunen, Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy is in Stockholm on 30 and 31 May to meet government officials and industry in high-level meetings to discuss digitalisation and innovative technology.
On 30 May, the Executive Vice-President will meet with the members of Ericsson's Executive team, including with the Senior Vice President and Head of Market Area Europe Middle East and Africa, as well as with Ericsson's Chief Technology Officer. The visit to Ericsson will include a tour of the company's Imagine Studio in Kista demonstrating 5G applications, mission-critical applications for a business' or an organisation's key operations, or among other key technologies.
The afternoon will be dedicated to discussing digitalisation with Erik Slottner, Minister for Public Administration and Digitalisation. Following these discussions, on 31 May, the Executive Vice-President and the Minister will attend a study visit to MIMER, one of the AI Factories funded by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking. Currently under development, MIMER will provide access to significant computational power to develop, test and deploy AI models. It will also offer training, data and business development, focussing on gaming, autonomous systems, life science and material sciences.
