Utekar emphasized the power of dedication in filmmaking, saying, "Agar koi cheez aap dil se krte ho, shiddat se karte ho toh uska impact kya hota hai. Recalling the moment Vicky Kaushal stepped onto Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s throne, Utekar narrated, "Jiss din Vicky uss Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ke singhasan me jaa rahe the, I wanted to shoot he is walking towards the singhasan with all his team. He looks at the singhasan and thinks about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and thinking about his voice, and then he takes a step to sit."

This emotionally charged moment required unprecedented effort from the actor. Utekar admitted, "First time in my life with Vicky, we did 15 takes. Otherwise, maximum as per our bonding and the kind of equation we have, we never go beyond 2 takes. 15 takes because as he walks and sits, tears were falling from his eyes and 700 juniors were crying as well."

Echoing his director’s sentiments, Vicky Kaushal also expressed the depth of his emotions during this particular scene. “It was nothing in my mind, it was just the energy I was feeling and it was not just me, it was everyone feeling the same energy.” The intensity of the moment was overwhelming. “It was having too strong energy that day over there. The moment I would go near the singhasan, my legs were not ready to move and I was continuously crying and it was not that shot to cry.”

Vicky further added, “It was just the fact that ye uss hi din ho raha tha, it was a thought that 300 years pehle ye same ho raha tha jo aaj hum recreate kar rahen hain. As darbar, isi size ka tha sab match ho raha hai colour, window, sab same place par tha, the energy was too high.”
