Exclusive- Satyamvada Singh on Maha Shivratri: I feel connected to Lord Shiva more after spending a month in Kumbh Mela

Actress

Satyamvada Singh

joined a plethora of celebrities who have visited

Prayagraj

to take part in the ongoing

Maha Kumbh Mela 2025

. The actress is known for her role in the TV show "

Chand Jalne Laga

," and last seen in "

Nath Krishna Aur Gauri Ki Kahani

" was lucky to spend a month in Maha Kumbh Mela which currently is underway in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
She said, "I'm blessed to attend and enjoy the grand Maha Kumbh Mela, which is held once every 12 years, drawing millions of devotees from across the globe. As one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings, pilgrims and saints are flocking to the sacred Triveni Sangam, the revered confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers to take a

holy dip

and seek

divine blessings

."
She continued, "Apart from that, I also shot for a series in the mela area. The experience was mesmerizing. I got to perform the rituals and do maha aarti. The other time, meeting many well-known saints, the Naga Sadhu and the transgender Guru Maa. I'm overwhelmed by the experience."
Talking ahead about her experience of shooting in an overcrowded location she added, "Shooting was so much fun and with many retakes. It was funny how at times people came in the scenes thinking it was news coverage going on. The other time people come in to take selfies or greetings. And I remember while giving a sad scene, I had to cry and some group of ladies arrived to console me. It was a sweet gesture I will remember all my life."

As Mahashivratri is around the corner, she shared, "I feel connected to lord shiva more after spending a month in Kumbh Mela. I used to meet and listen to the sacred literature of Hinduism, which comprises the Veda, Brahmanas, Aryayankas, Upanishad and the great epic. Shiva holds a very powerful hold in the universe, but the fact is he's nothing without his wife Shakti. Tomorrow is Mahashivratri and I'm looking forward to performing puja and taking blessings."

Satyamvada made her debut in 2014 with "Lapataganj" and has since appeared in TV shows like "Chidiya Ghar" and "Krishna Kanhaiya."
