A brush fire broke out Sunday afternoon in the hills north of San Bernardino, growing to 13 acres, and an evacuation order was issued.

Cal Fire/San Bernardino County said the Cable fire broke out around 3:49 p.m. in the 1500 block of Martin Ranch Road, in the area of Cable Lane, Cable Canyon.

Cal Fire said an evacuation order was issued for Martin Ranch Road north of West Meyers Road.

An evacuation warning was issued for the area south of West Meyers to Little League Drive.

That area is east of the intersection of the 15 and 215 freeways.

One firefighter sustained a heat-related injury and was transported to a hospital by ambulance.

Elsewhere, Cal Fire/San Bernardino County said the Wilson vegetation fire broke out Sunday afternoon in the 9100 block of Wilson Ranch Road in Phelan, west of the 15 Freeway, prompting temporary evacuations. Forward progress on the fire was stopped around 6:15 p.m. and evacuations were lifted. It was measured at 2 acres.

Cal Fire said no structures have been damaged or destroyed in either fire. The cause of each fire remains under investigation.
