The defending champion Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul (BSL) confirmed in their roster 32-year-old Turkish-American ex-international guard Scottie Wilbekin (188cm-80kg-1993, college: Florida) for the new 2025-26 season. He has played there for the last three seasons.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016. Wilbekin was a member of the Turkish Senior National Team between 2018 and 2022.
He is a very experienced player. His career allowed him to travel to three different continents, while he played in five different countries. Wilbekin experienced life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Australia, and North America. He has previously played professionally in Australia (Taipans), Greece (AEK Betsson), Israel (Maccabi Tel Aviv), and the NBA (Philadelphia 76ers).
In 2024, Scottie Wilbekin won the Turkish League championship title. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish BSL Honorable Mention in 2024.
He graduated from the University of Florida in 2014 and it'll be his 12th season as a pro player.
