Ellesmere Port: Woman fined for being drunk and disorderly
AN ELLESMERE Port woman has been fined after admitting to being drunk and disorderly while outside her home.
Sharon Harold, 51 and of Richmond Court, appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 10.
CPS prosecutor Nigel Jones told the court that on Monday, May 19, police were called to reports of two females fighting at the property.
Upon arrival, the police identified Harold standing on a patch of grass outside of Richmond court and “shouting and swearing in an aggressive manner.”
The court also heard that the defendant had “smelled of alcohol” and her “eyes were glassy”.
As police attempted to calm her down and stop hear from shouting and swearing, she was heard to say “I’m a f****** scouser, I’m a feisty one, I can do what I f****** want.”
She continued to raise her voice and to swear and was eventually arrested.
The court heard that she had no previous convictions, and the incident in question had no aggravating factors.
Harold appeared unrepresented, and when asked if she wished to make a representation to magistrates, simply said 'no'.
Magistrates told the defendant that the offence would be dealt with by way of a financial penalty.
Harold will pay a fine of £40, together with a victim surcharge of £16 and court costs of £85.
