Ella Langley Just Delivered Some Disappointing News for Fans Who Can't Wait for New Music-but It'll Be Worth It

Ella Langley is still processing the last year. In 2024, the Alabama-born songstress landed on every country fan’s radar with the cheeky Riley Green duet “You Look Like You Love Me.” Releasing her debut album, Hungover, and its deluxe edition, Langley shared a stage with Miranda Lambert at this year’s ACM Awards, where she also picked up five trophies. Now, she’s accompanying Green on his Damn Country Music tour. And despite recently releasing her latest song, the Hardy collab “Never Met Anyone Like You,” the reigning New Female Artist of the Year says she is in no rush to drop a full album anytime soon.

During a recent interview with Katie & Company, Ella Langley revealed that her sophomore album won’t hit the airwaves in full until 2026.

“I think that there’s something to be said in, like, taking your time with making the record and putting all those pieces in place where it can last long a long time,” she said. “You know? Last in a way where fans can keep digging into it and digging into it, and finding new songs that they love, and finding new little pieces about the record that’s different.”

Also, the “Weren’t For the Wind” singer, 26, isn’t quite ready to let go of her debut album, Hungover, just yet. “I really feel like people move on from their records so fast,” Langley said. “You know, they’re like, ‘Here’s a whole record of 20-something songs, and then we’re going to give you one single off of it and then move on to the next record.”

What’s certain, though, is that she will release new music soon, whether that’s a new single from Hungover or another glimpse of her forthcoming album. “I’m not going to go a year and a half without putting anything out,” she assured fans.

Speaking with host Katie Neal, Ella Langley also revealed that she settled on a title for her sophomore record the same day she shot the “You Look Like You Love Me” music video with Riley Green.

While she still can’t share that information, Langley assured Neal that she has a crystal-clear vision for what she wants on her next project.

Hungover felt like a little bit of me figuring it out—like, you know, picking my favorite songs and then creating a concept around it,” she said. “And this time I have a concept, and I’m writing towards that concept.”
