The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, has deployed 2,250 personnel to ensure safety of lives and property during the Easter celebration.
The Lagos State Commandant of NSCDC, Mr Adedotun Keshinro, gave the figure in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr Oluwaseun Abolurin, in Lagos on Thursday.
Keshinro said that following the declaration of public holidays by the federal government, the corps was determined to protect all critical national assets and infrastructure in the state across all sectors of the nation’s economy.
The federal government had declared Friday and Monday public holidays for the Easter celebrations.
The commandant said it was important to ensure adequate deployment of security personnel before, during and after such celebrations.
