MIES (Switzerland) - Basketball fans, buckle up.
The NBA offseason hasn't even officially begun, yet it's already delivered a jaw-dropping blockbuster as Kevin Durant has his bags packed for Houston.
As first reported by Shams Charania, the two-time NBA Finals MVP joins the Rockets, teaming up with Türkiye’s international sensation, Alperen Sengun. Could this be the next global basketball two-man tandem?
Durant, known for his legendary performances on the international stage, including a title and MVP honors at the 2010 World Cup and four Olympic gold medals along with the MVP at Tokyo 2020, now combines forces with Sengun, who dazzled fans at EuroBasket 2022 with averages of 16.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns welcome exciting young talents Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks, joining forces with Devin Booker. Green, already a USA youth standout with gold medals at the U16 AmeriCup in 2017 and U19 World Cup in 2019 as well as the 2018 FIBA U17 World Cup where he lit it up to win MVP after averaging 15.7 points per game. Brooks, a key player in Canada's bronze medal-winning squad at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, brings energy and scoring prowess to the desert.
Booker is a lifer with the Suns and also a two-time gold medalist with USA in the Olympics.
Will Durant and Sengun ignite a new Rockets era, or can Green, Brooks, and Booker create magic in Phoenix? Let the debates begin!
