Between 16 and 20 May 2025, DTM field teams estimated that 199 households were displaced from Abu Shouk IDP camp and Al Fasher town due to heightened insecurity. The majority of households were displaced to locations within Al Fasher locality, while others were displaced to Tawila locality, North Darfur. The situation remains tense and highly fluid.
