As the summer begins, we are excited to reflect on another successful year of Discover Protiviti! This immersive, in-person program is designed for students who are eager to explore a career in consulting, through hands-on experiences. This year, we invited 324 students to participate in the program and expanded our offerings, including an AI Studio Tour in Chicago, community service activities, and innovative team-building exercises in New York.

Before attending Discover Protiviti, candidates participated in a multi-step interview process that included initial conversations with their local recruiter, followed by case and behavioral interviews with members of Protiviti’s consulting practice. Discover Protiviti is our early identification program, specifically designed for students within two years of graduation. Select candidates not only received offers to join our 2026 internship class, but were also invited to participate in the Discover Protiviti experience—an immersive, hands-on opportunity to learn more about our business and industry. This year’s program included an in-person event where students engaged directly with Protiviti professionals, gaining meaningful insights to help them make confident, informed decisions about their future with us.

Discover Protiviti is thoughtfully designed to incorporate as many features of Protiviti as possible, with a special emphasis on highlighting our core values of inclusion, integrity, innovation, and commitment to success. To kick off the day, our local market leadership welcomed candidates to Protiviti and provided an overview of who we are and the impactful work we do. Candidates learned about our dedication to creating an inclusive workplace for all, explored ways to get involved with our Employee Network Groups, and participated in an activity with our local inclusion champions that demonstrated the importance of everyone’s voice being heard in the workplace.

One of the most innovative components of Discover Protiviti is our AI-enhanced consulting project simulation. This simulation mirrors the reality of engaging with a client and collaborating with a team on analyzing an issue and developing a solution, providing an insightful opportunity for candidates to explore the work we do, our focus on innovation, and our desire to deliver the best results to our clients. Additionally, candidates had the chance to meet consultants at all levels, including senior leaders, gaining valuable insights into the consulting career path and the diverse opportunities available within Protiviti.

Participants in Chicago enjoyed an AI Studio Tour, where they explored cutting-edge AI technologies and learned how these tools are applied in real-world consulting scenarios, enhancing their understanding of digital transformation in business. In New York, our office hosted the Marshmallow Challenge, a team-building activity designed to teach Agile Principles through a fun and engaging competition. This challenge involved roles of architect, contractor, and builder, emphasizing essential agile concepts such as communication, implementation, adaptability, innovation, and creativity.

Candidates in Seattle engaged in a Leadership Q&Awith Managing Directors from each solution area, gaining insights into the strategic direction of Protiviti and the various paths available within the consulting field. Participants took part in local shelter packing events in Los Angeles and Seattle, demonstrating Protiviti’s commitment to giving back to the communities we serve. To foster connections and build relationships, we hosted networking events complete with cookies in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle, providing a relaxed atmosphere for candidates to interact with Protiviti employees and learn more about our culture.

Feedback from this year’s participants was exceptionally positive. Students appreciated the diverse experiences that allowed them to engage deeply with both the consulting profession and our teams. Many expressed how these activities helped them understand the importance of adaptability and effective communication in achieving success.
