Devika & Danny OTT Release Date: When and where to watch Ritu Varma & Surya's Telugu series
Devika & Danny OTT Release Date: Popular Telugu actress Ritu Varma, known for her roles in Tuck Jagadish, Swag, and Mazaka, is now stepping into the OTT world with her first-ever Telugu web series. Starring alongside Surya Vashistta, the series is directed by B. Kishore, best known for Sreekaram, and created by Deepak Raj. Devika & Danny is all set to premiere on JioHotstar starting June 6, 2025.
The platform announced the release date with a post that read: "One holds her hand and the other... her soul. Devika & Danny streaming from 6th June only on JioCinema." The show is backed by producer Sudhakar Chaganti under the Joy Films banner.
Devika & Danny revolves around the life of Devika, a simple, middle-class woman stuck in the routine of daily life. Everything seems settled as she prepares to marry a man played by Subbaraju. But just before the wedding, a priest issues a cryptic warning that someone unexpected is going to change her fate. That’s when Danny, portrayed by Surya Vashistta, enters her life.
The story picks up as Devika becomes increasingly curious about Danny. What begins as a brief encounter turns into a deeper connection. However, the journey isn’t smooth with mystery and danger slowly starting to creep in, shaking Devika’s world. The trailer hints at romance, emotional twists, and some suspenseful turns.
Apart from Ritu Varma and Surya Vashistta in the lead, the series brings together a rich mix of talent. Shiva Kandukuri, Kovai Sarala, Subbaraju, Sonia Singh, Mounika Reddy, Harsha Chemudu (Viva Harsha), Abhinaya Sri, and Gokaraju Ramana play supporting roles. Veteran actress Kovai Sarala is also making her Telugu comeback through this show.
Devika & Danny is written and created by Deepak Raj with Jay Krish handling music and background score, Venkat C Dillip as Director of Photography, and Karthikeyan Rohini handling the editing. The production design is led by Ramanjaneyulu, with creative producer Naga Nandini Ppuuli onboard.
