The Denam Group, a leading Nigerian conglomerate with diversified interests in real estate, hospitality, engineering, and facility management, has officially expanded into the healthcare sector with the launch of its pharmaceutical subsidiary, Denam Pharmacy, in the heart of Gwarinpa, Abuja.

The unveiling ceremony, held on Thursday was attended by religious leaders, community members, health professionals, and company executives.

The event marked a significant milestone in Denam Group’s strategic ambition to transform key sectors of the Nigerian economy through innovation and people-focused services.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of Denam Group, Dr. Linus Chiemezie Igwemezie, described the new pharmacy as a transformational health venture designed to bridge gaps in pharmaceutical care through technology, professionalism, and strategic outreach.

“Denam Pharmacy is not just a drugstore; it is a complete healthcare hub designed to redefine how pharmacy services are delivered in Nigeria. We want to make healthcare more accessible, more convenient, and more patient-focused by leveraging innovation and cutting-edge technology,” Dr. Igwemezie stated.

He explained that the facility is structured around a fully integrated healthcare model that combines in-person and digital pharmaceutical services. The pharmacy offers a range of services including prescription drug dispensing, personalized consultations, telemedicine access, online medication ordering, and laboratory diagnostics — all streamlined through a digital platform designed to serve a modern, tech-savvy population.

Dr. Igwemezie noted that all medications stocked at Denam Pharmacy are NAFDAC-certified and subject to rigorous quality control processes to ensure safety, efficacy, and public confidence. The staff includes licensed pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and customer service personnel trained to offer responsive and evidence-based care to every client.

He emphasized that the pharmacy was designed with the health-conscious and convenience-driven lifestyle of Abuja residents in mind, particularly the upwardly mobile demographic seeking trusted and accessible healthcare options.

“Our commitment is to set a new standard of excellence in pharmaceutical care, this means delivering quality services in a professional, customer-friendly environment, while also creating room for expansion and scalability across other cities in Nigeria.”

Rev. Father Emmanuel Azubike, who officiated the spiritual blessing of the new facility, invoked the Book of Sirach 38 to emphasize the sacredness and dignity of the medical profession. He described the pharmacy’s establishment as a divine calling that aligns with both scripture and societal needs.

“Give doctors the honour they deserve, for the Lord gave them their work to do. Their skills come from the Most High, and kings reward them for it. Their knowledge grants them a place of importance, and powerful people hold them in high regard. The Lord created medicine from the earth, and sensible persons will not hesitate to use them,” he declared.

Father Azubike stressed that Denam Pharmacy’s mission goes beyond commercial pharmaceutical practice. According to him, it embodies a commitment to holistic care, compassion, and service to humanity at a time when the Nigerian healthcare system is in dire need of innovation and accessibility.

The launch event featured a variety of community-focused activities including free health screenings, on-the-spot medical consultations, educational sessions on drug safety, and live demonstrations of the pharmacy’s telemedicine and homecare capabilities. Guests were able to interact with the pharmacy’s digital platforms, consult with professionals, and explore features that allow users to access healthcare services remotely from their homes or offices.

One of the beneficiaries of the medical outreach, Mr. Ody Chukube, expressed gratitude to the Denam Group for bringing such innovation to the doorstep of ordinary Nigerians. He praised the group’s leadership for consistently prioritizing quality and service in all its business undertakings.

“Dr. Igwemezie has always stood for quality and innovation. Denam Pharmacy is a reflection of his vision to create meaningful solutions that touch lives. If the pharmacy continues in this direction, it will not only succeed but become a model for others in the industry,” Chukube said.

With the successful launch of Denam Pharmacy, the Denam Group reinforces its commitment to contributing to Nigeria’s socioeconomic development by investing in sectors that directly impact citizens’ well-being. The Gwarinpa facility serves as a pilot outlet, with plans already underway to establish branches in other major Nigerian cities.
As the healthcare sector continues to evolve, Denam Pharmacy positions itself at the intersection of tradition and technology — offering accessible, efficient, and compassionate healthcare for all.
