The A50 in Derbyshire has reopened after it was shut to allow the recovery of a lorry that left the road and overturned.

National Highways said at 09:20 BST the eastbound carriageway had reopened after being closed between Ashbourne and Sudbury shortly before 04:00 on Thursday.

The body said the recovery operation was "complex" and required two cranes and heavy duty recovery vehicles.

It added delays of 55 minutes westbound and 10 minutes eastbound remained.
