Mumbai: India’s star all-rounder Deepti Sharma has decided to pull out of the Women's Hundred 2025 to manage her workload. At Lord's last year, Deepti had clinched the maiden Women's Hundred title for London Spirit with a straight six. However, the 27-year-old, who is currently touring with the Indian team in England for a white-ball series, has perhaps opted out to manage her workload considering that there's the 50 overs World Cup in India later this year.Deepti Hadad been replaced by Australian all-rounder Charlie Knott. An English Cricket Board spokesperson said, "Australian all-rounder Charli Knott is joining London Spirit for the 2025 season of The Hundred, replacing India’s Sharma.
Sharma, who was a key member of the title-winning side in 2024, has had to pull out of this season’s competition due to workload issues."The spokesperson added, "Deepti will always have a special place in Spirit history, having produced the team’s most iconic moment when she struck the ball over long-on for six to secure our first The Hundred title last summer. She starred with bat and ball throughout the tournament, and was the highest-ranked Spirit player in the MVP standings – we hope to be able to welcome her back to Lord’s in future years.”In fact, there are no Indian players in Women's The Hundred this year.
