Cross River gov reshuffles media team, appoints Obogo as CPS
Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has appointed Linus Obogo as his Chief Press Secretary and Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, while reassigning Nsa Gill to serve as Special Adviser on Public Affairs.
The appointments were confirmed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Anthony Owan Enoh.
According to the statement, Obogo’s selection is aimed at enhancing the administration’s communication strategy.
The government says it views his appointment as a step toward reinforcing its media operations for more effective public engagement.
Also returning to the administration is Nsa Gill, who previously served as Chief Press Secretary. Gill, a former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Cross River State and former journalist with The Nation, is expected to manage public interface and policy communication in his new role.
The government said both appointments are part of broader efforts to improve information flow and strengthen engagement between the administration and citizens.
